I'm tired of *not* understanding why some spells don't stack...

    Recent event:
    - I have "Super Rush Headlong" set for more than a turn... I attack with a creature, my opponent use a ATK boosting trap, why can't I respond by activating this? I know he has a way to boost the ATK... I dont get why I can't reply by activating my card in response...
    - I face the exact same issue early on with "Metalmorph"...

Is this a game bug? Or is there some kind of rule I am not aware of?

Dude Super Rush Headlong cannot activate on Damage Step.

Increase or decrease ATK/DEF spell or trap card can activate on Damage Step.

Your opponent obviously activate Metal Morph on Damage Step which is much more safer than Battle Step because card like Enemy Controller or SRH

I see... That explains case #1, the SRH thing. Thanks.

Still doesn't explain why I was unable to activate Metalmorph in response in my other case.

(the game should highlight better which "phase" your in :D)
